Stay Home and Save Lives

Stay Home and Save Lives

17th Apr 2020

During these difficult times we’ve come across some amazing artwork, a perfect example are these 9 artists who came together to make this collage.

These artists collaborated using face & body makeup to creatively paint an important overall message, to stay home in order to save lives.  Each artist used Paradise Makeup AQ™ to create their looks and we reached out to each one individually to learn about what inspired them to convey their message.

Read about each artist and their creation below!

“The title of my look is Art Therapy. I wanted to create a bold and abstract piece! Something easy and relaxing to complete. As a group we wanted to contribute to the community and create a message through our art! We hoped to use our platforms to reach as many people as possible. We decided to use bright and vibrant colors to express hope, happiness and new beginnings! We wanted to show our followers that we too are taking this seriously and doing our part by staying home! We want our followers to know they are not alone. We are all in this together and will overcome it! We got inspired by our makeup community as a whole. Seeing others sharing messages and support. It's important to work together in difficult times and unit with our art. One of the best ways to spread a powerful is through creativity!!”

“We can all do our part to help! For some it’s on the front lines, fighting to save lives and for others it’s staying home and protecting lives! Both equally important. I wanted to be a part of that message in a creative way!”

“I wanted to paint something cheerful and colorful to brighten my mood. All the vibrant colors I used made me so happy. I felt like I had a rainbow on my face and it was exactly the positive energy I needed. I was also inspired by beautiful painterly artwork of Dominik Jasinski.”

“Seriously was my word and I wanted to add some of the news and facts about COVID19 to the makeup. That’s why I used newspaper to bring some reality to it.  Adding to that, we wanted to be colorful since the reality is hard but we can find good things happening through this process. I used my Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ 30 color Palette which is very colorful and I can pick from a great color range.”

“Staying home is so important to not only keep yourself safe, but to keep others safe. During this time, we need to show selflessness for those who are compromised or for those amazing essential workers who have to be out in the world! We all need to work together to keep everyone safe and healthy!”

“We were inspired as a creative makeup community to hopefully encourage our fellow artists to follow the stay home order, and to use this time to create and come together! We know that it’s tough to stay home and shift your day to day life to fit the stay home order. However, it’s so important that we take it seriously to protect our communities. The best we can do as artists is spread joy through art.”

“My look was inspired by Instagram’s stay at home icon. I wanted to do my own artistic take on it because I personally thought it did a wonderful job symbolizing that while we are apart (physically) we’re still in this together. This is what I find to be the most inspiring out of collaborating with everyone - we were still able to come together through art and social media to spread an important message.”

Artist: @fancyflutie
“For this look I wanted it to be abstract and colorful. I was inspired by the art of @nashid.chroma. I wanted to try something different than my usual details looks and I love how freeing this felt to paint.”

“I used the paradise paints in yellow, blue, white, black, beech berry and the tropical 8 color palette. I was inspired by artwork by @angela_aujla_art. I love her painting style and I wanted to recreate it as her work is always so colorful and positive, and I wanted to create something positive in these difficult circumstances!”
