Makeup for Grooms

2nd Aug 2017

A wedding is a big day for both the bride AND the groom. All eyes will be on the happy couple. And, of course, there will be photos and videos capturing everything - as well as smartphones documenting the event in real time! So, the groom needs to look his best too. A little makeup, with a no-makeup look, for a flawless complexion. We’re talking skin prep, neutralizing, and anti-shine - so he shines, rather than his skin.

Skin Prep

Start by minimizing the look of fine lines and pigmentation with Velvet Finish Primer . Formulated with vitamin C, aloe vera extract, and vitamin E, this primer creates a smooth, even skin texture.

Follow with Skin Prep Pro. Magic in a bottle, this clear, fragrance-free liquid acts like a moisture barrier between the skin and makeup, providing a longer-lasting, fresh look. “My big, Greek husband wore Skin Prep Pro on our wedding day, and it kept him looking fresh all day long!” said Mehron Creative Director Stephanie Koutikas.

Conceal and Correct

Now it’s time to tackle dark circles, blemishes, discoloration, and redness. Apply Correct-It where you need to neutralize. Cover redness, such as acne and rosacea, with Mint. Combat pink with Daffodil, and sallowness with Lilac. Erase dark circles and purple undertones with Tangerine and Sherbet, for darker skin use Salamander. Stipple on the appropriate color to the whole area and blend.

Then cover the color with a shade from Conceal-It that best matches your skin tone. Even everything out with a coordinating shade of Celebré Pro HD Cream or Pressed Powder Foundation and blend. You can just spot correct or apply over the entire face, neck and jawline.

Set

Set everything with Celebré Pro HD Loose Mineral Finishing Powder . For extra staying power, and to keep makeup from transferring, spritz on some Barrier Spray .

Touch Up

In the event a little shine comes through, apply TouchUP Matte Finishing Anti-Shine Gel . Just dab a bit on and watch the shine disappear.
