31 Days of Halloween - Oct. 26

Artist Natalia Bubnova @natali.faceart from St. Petersburg Russia captivated us with her Grasshopper submission. Not only is this look dripping in detail and expertly blended, her concept behind it is quite fascinating. A grasshopper....sounds like a friendly insect that we remember from summer nights out in the backyard, but imagine it in human size! A bloodthirsty insect that attacks it's victims during the night when the come out to hunt. That's a super scary concept and we love how she brought all of that to life! She used a plethora of Mehron to create this starting with the body paint Paradise Makeup AQ, some Clown White Lite and Colorset Powder, bedazzled it with Metallic Powder and added a few special effects touches like Synwax and Stage Blood. Not only did she paint her body with these products she also painted the paper that's adhered to her skin with the same products. We just think this is so imaginative and spooky we had to have it!!
